Spring Dance Performance

This is a really lame post, but I had to document it anyway. Ashtyn performed in her Spring Dance Performance last Saturday. She did such a great job! There is such a big difference in how good she dances now as opposed to when she first started. She is much braver and confident. We are gonna take a break from dancing for a year or so, so this is the last performance for awhile. We have really liked doing dance, but we need a change. It has really helped her become more confident and loves to perform now! My camera died right after the first 2 pictures, so this is all I have. Back stage:

Kindergarten Graduation

Ashtyn graduated from kindergarten this morning. The program was super cute! They sang some cute songs and then they got their certificates. I may, or may not have gotten teary eyed a couple times ;) She is growing up too fast. She has grown up and learned so much this year. There is such a difference in her reading, writing, and math skills it is just crazy. I am so proud of the little girl she is! LOVE HER!

Mother's Day

I don't have any pictures or anything out of the ordinary to say, but I thought I better write about this year's Mother's Day. It really ended up being a "Mother's Day Weekend." On Friday, Ashtyn's class had a Mother's Day Tea Party. It was really cute. Ashtyn was so happy to have me come to her school. The kids made the mom's a corsage to pin on our shirts. Then, the kids served us lemonade and fruit pizzas. Her teacher had the lunchroom cute and decorated also. Next, we made a cute flower basket out of paper. It was a fun morning with just me and Ashtyn. On Saturday, Chris made sure to help out extra and let me rest a lot. He also bought me a new phone that I needed wanted! I LOVE it! On Sunday the kids and Chris spoiled me with breakfast in bed, I slept in till 9:00 a.m. and the whole day was just great! I am so grateful to be a mother to such beautiful, kind, smart, amazing kids! I am also so lucky to have the best mom of my own. She is a great example and such a strong, beautiful person. My kids just don't know how lucky they are to have such a great Grandma.

When Chris got invited to go on a fishing trip I debated back and forth whether or not I wanted to go visit my family in Phoenix. I decided not to go because my mom would be working most of the time and my dad and Kaden would be at school the whole time. Well, when my dad got put in the hospital because his gallbladder was causing a severe case of pancreatitis and Chris had left on his trip, I thought I should go. I called Candice to try to get it off work. We decided to go at 1:00 and we were packed and on the road at about 3:30. It was the fastest I have ever packed. I forgot a few things including my memory card to my camera (which is $40 to replace) but everything else was minor. We left on Friday and came home Wednesday. Our time was spent swimming, visiting my dad, shopping and just enjoying each other. My kids were AMAZING in the car both ways, and really good while we were there. I was so glad we decided to make an impromptu visit to Phoenix. Thanks to Candice for helping me a ton with my kids, too! Me and Collin

Camden used to never get in the pool unless he could touch the bottom. For some reason he decided to be brave and found out quickly that it's not scary. He was constantly running and jumping in!

Grandpa and Addie. Ashtyn and Camden each had two dollars to spend at the dollar store. They had the idea to spend one of their dollars on a balloon for Grandpa. How sweet, huh?

Here is Grandpa right before he got to come home. He ended up being their for 7 days. We are so glad that he is feeling better and love and miss him so much!

Ashtyn has been working hard for her dance recital. Her class had pictures taken last week so she got to get all dolled up for them. I refuse to pay for pictures, so I just took some before we left. She looks so pretty!
