Miss Smartie Pants!

I just got back from Ashtyn's SEP conference with her teacher Mrs. White. Her teacher had nothing but AWESOME things to say about her! She is in the top reading group, is ABOVE average in everything,(just needs to work on writing her numbers forward, not backward) she only missed ONE sight word (which apparently is VERY rare) and behaves perfectly at school. I couldn't be more proud!

This is her 3rd spelling test ever, and she has got 100% EVERY time!

I just had to document all this for me, and her scrapbook!

Valentines Day

Every year for Valentine's Day we try to make it a fun day for the kids (for cheap). After the kids went to bed the night before I put a bunch of hearts all over their bed/walls. I wrote on them things I love about each of them. I hung some pink streamers from our entry way into the living room, put a bunch of hearts all over the kitchen/living room and put a pink table cloth over the table. They thought it was really fun. We gave Ashtyn and Camden an "ipod", well an MP3 player from this website that has them for super cheap. I think that made their YEAR! Chris got me a pedicure and a manicure (and a really sweet card, he's good at that!). Later that night, after a dentist appointment and dance, we had pizza for dinner and watched a movie. I loved spending a fun day with the ones I love MOST!

Addie was the only one dressed "valentines-ish" so that's why there is only a picture of her.

3 months old

**February 8th**

Adisyn is three months old now! I seriously just want to bite off her cute cheeks and chomp on them... ha, ha, just kiddding, but I really just can't get enough of this chubby girl. My other kids have all been petite babies so we are loving all her "chubbiness" Here are some things about her at 3 months:
*sleeps in her crib
*All I have to do to get her to sleep is lay her down in the crib and she goes to sleep on her own! LOVE THIS!
*Gets up once in the night (sleeps from 8-4, then until about 8 a.m.)
*Such a happy, content baby
*Wants to start grabbing things, but can't quite figure it out.
*Some of her 3-6 months clothes are not going to fit for very much longer. (This is new to me, since my others were so much smaller)
*Uses a binky a lot less. I keep thinking she wants to suck her thumb, but all she gets is the knuckle of one of her fingers.

Making Memories

The weather was so nice today so I was itching to go do something fun as a family outdoors. We decided to take a "walk/hike" on this trail just down below our house. We hadn't ever been on it before so we thought it would be fun. It was fun to do something as a family but it was WAY longer than we anticipated and WAY warmer than we thought,too! It had to been 3 miles by the time we got back to the car. That is a long walk for kids with little legs and it being super warm. We were dressed for it to be a lot cooler so that didn't help either! What's important is that we made some memories as a family!

We stopped to throw some rocks into the river. Camden would have done this ALL day!
