Santa Clause Came!!!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone had a very merry christmas this year. We had a blast with the kids. Kids really make Christmas so much fun. Ashtyn was so excited to santa to come. She is at a fun age where she mostly understands how the santa thing works. So, here are some pictures of our Christmas day. They are out of order, but oh well.

Camden got a wagon, and loved it. He was content just sitting in it waiting for us to pull him around.
He also got this ride-pull-push along tractor.

Ashtyn wanted to try on everything she got before moving on to the next present. We had to keep reminding her that she had more to open.

This picture wasn't taken on Christmas, but exactly a week before. But this was our house after it had been snowing. I was praying for a white christmas, but no such luck.
Ashtyn opening her gifts.
I didn't get that many great pictures cause I suck at taking pictures on Christmas. I forget with all the comotion. We did get the whole thing on video though.

TAG!

So, I really don't usually do these things, but I don't ever post anything about Chris and I. It's usally just about our kids, so, here goes.

How long have you been together? We were married in August 2004, So about 4 1/2 years, CRAZY!
How long did you date? 6 months dating, 3 months engaged
How old is he? He will be 28 this February, man he is getting old :)
Who eats more? Chris most of the time, but sometimes it is me!
Who said I love you first? He did
Who's taller? He is by about 8 inches, I am short!
Who sings better? I am so awful, so I'm going to have to say Chris.
Who is smarter? Mostly Chris, he knows a little about EVERYTHING, but I am "book smarter"
Who does the laundry? Me, I don't think he has ever even attempted that one since we've been married!
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do
Who pays the bills? He makes the money, and I write the checks.
Who mows the lawn? He does
Who cooks dinner? I do 99.9% of the time
Who drives when you are together? Chris
Who is more stubborn? I think we are evenly stubborn, but maybe he would disagree!
Who kissed who first? Chris kissed me on our second date
Who asked who out? This one is hard, I guess technically he did. I texted him one night, before we had ever really talked in person, and then he called me later that night and asked me out.
Who proposed? Him again
Who is more sensitive? Me for sure
Who wears the pants? I think this one is even again

Today I took the kids to the church where tons of leaves have fallen. I thought it would be fun to take some pictures of them playing in them. Sorry I posted so many but they turned out so cute I had to show them off!

This one is so precious of Camden

O Christmas Tree

This was after we were all done decorating the tree.
Ashtyn wanted to take off the ornaments instead of put them on.

First of all I want to do a little catch up since it has been almost a month since I've posted. We haven't been doing much other than lots of Christmas shopping and preparation. Thanksgiving was so much fun. The shopping was the best. The girls in the family had so much fun getting up at 3:00 a.m. to go get all the Black Friday deals. It was so worth it! Then, last night we decorated our Christmas Tree while watching the movie "Elf" (the best christmas movie ever!) Then we had hot chocolate. I just love Christmas!

Just cause they are so cute!

Last Sunday I decided that I had some time to take the kids' pictures before we left for church. I thought they both looked so cute!

Ashtyn's 3rd Birthday!

Today was Ashtyn's 3rd Birthday. She has been waiting for months for this day to come. We had a princess theme, of course! On Friday night we had a family party with grandmas and grandpas and had dinner, presents, and cake and ice cream. Then on Saturday we had a friend party. I made a castle cake and we had dress up dresses for the girls, and I made some little silver "Prince Capes" for all the boys. So here are a couple of pics from both parties. Here she is with her castle cake. She absolutely loved it! (Man, they are easy to please)

She is blowing out her candles

We played "pin the crown on the princess" and made froot loop necklaces.

When she opens her presents she gets so excited. I think she opened them all in about 2 minutes flat!

Some day Ashtyn might kill me for this pic, but oh well. I thought it was hilarious! Chris and I got her a bike, and this is her reaction to seeing it!

Candice was so nice to wear her "princess dress" to the party. Ashtyn thought it was so cool.

This isn't the best pic of all the kids who came, but it works! Thanks again to all our friends who came. It really made Ashtyn's birthday so special!

Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween! I hope everyone had a way fun day yesterday! I know that we did! Ashtyn could hardly wait for "Trick or Treat" time. She has been dying to put her princess dress on for weeks. We had so much fun yesterday dressing up and trick-or-treating!

Our little princess and her frog prince. Camden was the cutest little frog ever! I have to tell everyone that I actually sewed his costume. I am so proud of myself. I thought it just turned out so dang cute.

She's trying to turn him into her prince, but he already is one!
Ashtyn loves to pose all cheesy!

He is so happy and just wants that camera! I was so surprised that he actually left the head piece on ALL night!

She looks so dramatic in this pose!

Carving Our Pumpkins

Last night for family home evening we carved our pumpkins (that we got from the farm.) It was so fun! Camden wasn't too excited about it, but Ashtyn had a blast! Ashtyn was being such a girl about getting the pumkin seeds and guts out. She kept saying it was "disgusting" and that she needed the spoon.

Ashtyn really is using the knife to carve the pumpkin, with much adult supervision!

Here are our finished pumpkins. Mine is with Camden, it is supposed to be a jack-o-lantern. Chris' is a bat with a moon. His was very detailed.(of course)

Here they are all lit up!

Ha, Ha, Ha!

I know I already posted today but Ashtyn said the funniest thing! We were down at my parent's house for our usual Sunday dinner. My mom asked Ashtyn how old her mom (me) was going to be on her birthday in a few days. Ashtyn thought for a second then, holding two fingers up, she said "She's going to be two...two.... two much!" We just started busting up laughing.

Down on the Farm

Yesterday we went down to Staheli's farm for a fun family day! They had a bunch of fun things for Ashtyn and Camden to do.
They had this swing thing that were tire swings made into horses and bulls. It went around and around until the kids got sick. I think she would have stayed on it forever! Ashtyn played the longest on this corn slide. You slide down the pipe slide into a big pile of corn.

Camden just kept saying "Whassat, Whassat?" It is his favorite thing to say. Ashtyn loved the little petting zoo they had. She got to pet a sheep, goat, pig, and pony, though she mostly remembers how stinky they were.

Of course, the hay was his favorite thing!

We got to ride a tractor over to the Pumpkin Patch and pick out our pumpkins.

They are just so cute! Can I say that enough?

Camden's First Birthday!

Today is Camden's first birthday! I can't believe how time flies! He was so cute! He got so excited to eat his cake. He kept saying "more, more, more." Ashtyn was also really excited, she couldn't wait to open the presents, (although she knew what was inside) and she wanted to lick the train cake! It was such a fun day!

Just last week we went up to Salt Lake for a little family vacation. Our main purpose was to go to General Conference on Sunday afternoon cause we got tickets. On Friday we went to the Hogle Zoo. Ashtyn was soooo excited. She couldn't wait to see "Sally the Camel." Her favorite animals were the camels, buffalos, and rhinos (the ugliest ones there). She also wanted to ride the carousel over and over and over again. Thanks to Aunt Shelly for letting us invade her house!
