Family Pictures 2015

We had this bright idea that we would give my mom "family pictures" to her for Mother's Day this year. We scheduled the photographer, Jamie Knudsen, and the date for Memorial weekend. The weather was predicted to be super rainy so we canceled that date. Next, we tried coinciding the pictures with our family vacation in June since we would already be up north. We all got ready, dressed, and drove down to Provo, but it started pouring rain! Lastly, we scheduled the pictures for August 28th. Our anniversary is that day so we figured we would make a mini vacation out of the weekend. So we drove to Springville, had pictures taken then drove the rest of the way to grandma and grandpas. Saturday morning Chris and I left around 8:30 to go to the Salt Lake Temple to do a session. We had a great day at the temple, eating lunch, wondering around City Creek, went to The Roof for dinner, and stayed at the Anniversary Inn. It was a great little getaway! Anyways, I am super happy we finally got the pictures taken! It was a lot of stress and hassle, but they are more than worth it! Jamie did a great job and I just love them!

Collin Starts Kindergarten!

Collin started Kindergarten! His teacher is Ms. Bowman. The first day he got to ride the bus and he was so excited about it! I never know how this boy is going to react to situations, so I have been pleasantly surprised that he loves going every day. It helps a lot that the older kids go with him. He looks so tiny going up the bus stairs, but I know he is ready for this adventure. I didn't think I would cry on his first day, but I did:) It's such a big milestone to start Kindergarten! Adisyn feels so lonely without her Collin buddy. The first thing she said when they all 3 got on the bus was "Now who am I going to play with?" Sad! One funny thing about the bus stop one morning- Adisyn went to give Collin a hug good-bye and he softly pushed her away all embarrassed that his sister was hugging him in front of the big kids! I guess he is just too cool for us now!
The kids like to bring hot wheels cars and race them down the drive way while waiting for the bus.

Adisyn's turn for school!

Adisyn finally got to start school! The first thing she said today was "It's my preschool today, right?!" You can see her excitement in her big, contagious smile! I dare you to find a cuter preschooler! We are doing joy school for this year of preschool. The kids in our group are Henry Jasper, Kate Crafts, Juliet Fortune, Sloane Smith, Ivy Stanton, and Adisyn. It's going to be fun!

Camden takes on 2nd!

Camden started 2nd grade! He has Ms. Miller and is so excited for the new school year! He loves everything about school so I'm sure it will be a good one!

Ashtyn started 4th grade!

Ashtyn started 4th grade! She is way excited about her teacher, Mrs. Losser, and friends in her class. It's going to be a great year!

End of summer fun!

Here are some of the fun things we've been doing this summer!
We went to the 24th of July Parade:

We went out to lunch and Adisyn insisted on wearing socks with her flip flops and Collin loves to wear his cowboy boots with shorts (really with anything- shorts, swim suits, church, wherever!)
Collin graduated the Upstart Program. It was a lot of work for him and me! He is ready to read and learn in Kindergarten!
One Saturday we decided to go to Sand Hollow Reservoir to swim and fish. It was a great family day!

I finally got the ambition to paint our garage, front door, and shutters. I can't believe the difference!
We spend a lot of summer days swimming at the Coral Canyon Clubhouse, I just never think to take pictures of it. This day we had the whole pool to ourselves!

These cute kids set up their own "toy sale" stand one day. They had so much fun and earned almost $15 to split between them.
Collin lost his first tooth! He told Chris he could pull it out, so Chris grabbed and yanked it out before Collin even knew it! He was so excited to get $2 from the tooth fairy!
I guess we've been spending a lot of time with my friend Emily! Adisyn has learned how to carry her baby like this, lol! (My good friend Emily just had a baby and uses a wrap to carry her baby:)
Last weekend, Camden was invited to a bday party at the St. George City Pool. So we dropped him off and the rest of us went to lunch. Then the whole family went swimming at the pool. The kids (and Chris) loved the diving boards!
