Camden's Broken Arm

On Friday, July 11, Camden broke his first bone. Chris and I were at the temple. We got to our car and had a text from Amber Andersen (our neighbor) that Camden fell on the trampoline and might have broke his arm. Grandpa O'Connor was baby sitting but had forgot his phone (and we JUST cut off our home phone!). I wasn't too worried because Camden was super tired that day so I figured he was dramatizing the injury. We rushed home and we immediately could tell it was broke. His arm was bent and definitely not right! Chris took him to the ER where an orthopedic surgeon put on a bright blue cast! Camden was super brave and so tough! The real way he broke his arm was that he leaned a 2 x 4 against the trampoline and tried to slide down it. His shorts got caught on the board and he fell to the side and landed on his arm. It's so crazy that he barely fell a few feet and still broke a bone. It has put a MAJOR damper on our summer,but we're trying to make the best of the last few weeks before school starts. We see the doctor tomorrow and I'm hoping to beg for a water proof cast.

Lucky for me, he broke his thumb-sucking arm and can't reach his thumb to his mouth. I told Camden it was my dream come true!

Summer Play Dates

We are doing "summer play dates" again this summer. I have to document at least a few pictures of these cute kids having fun. They each painted a picture. It kept them occupied and quiet for almost an hour :)

4th of July

Our 4th of July was pretty low key this year. Camden was sick the night before, so we ended up skipping the parade. The girls, Collin, and I ran to Old Navy and then to the park for some of the festivities. We got our face painted, played some games, and ate cotton candy. After lunch we went swimming with the Schmutz family and had a lot of fun. For dinner we had BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, and watermelon. Then we ended our day with the traditional fire works in town. It was a pretty good day!

Girls Camp 2014

Girls Camp was again one of the best times of the year! The theme for it was "MTC" (missionary training camp)Each ward got to open their mission call and our girls were called to Russia! I am so grateful to be lucky enough to attend the camp. There was lots of laughing, fun, crafts, learning, spiritual growth, and more fun, fun, fun! I was the photographer so I only have one picture of me, but I still wanted to include a few of my favorites! LOVE THESE PEOPLE!!!
