Last week we got to go to DiSneYlAnD!!! It was such a blast! I will try not to bore you will all the details, but I want to remember everything, too! We left Sunday morning bright and early and headed straight for the beach. Our kids loved the beach. The water was FREEZING, but sand is seriously the best entertainer for kids. We buried them about 5 times and they thought it was so cool. Ashtyn and Chris found tons of seashells, too. Want to know the saddest thing....... a mother's worst nightmare....... I DELETED ALL my pictures!! I know, don't rub it in, I've done my share of crying.... I'll explain a little later. This post just gets more boring, because there is VERY few pictures. Anyways, after the beach we went and checked into our hotel. It was so fun for the kids to get to stay in a hotel for the first time. We went to dinner and then to bed. Ashtyn was so funny cause she was SO excited that she couldn't sleep. I think she woke up every hour asking if it was time to get up.
*Monday morning I woke up and I knew I had STREP THROAT, that's right, another worst nightmare come true. I was glad I knew what it was, (since I had had it just a couple months ago) so we ran down to their instacare place and they actually took me in before they were technically open! They gave me a Z-Pack and sent me on my way. We grabbed some breakfast and were off to California Adventure. The first ride I took Ashtyn on was the HOLLY WOOD TOWER OF TERROR! She Absolutely HATED it. It is the creepiest ride, but it is a huge FREE FALL. I don't think she would've minded just the ride, but all the ghostly creepy things around it made it EXTRA scary. Then we did the BUGS LAND rides, which are a bit ssllloooww, but the kids loved them! We rode a couple to others and then went to the Play House Disney Show. It is so cute, and my kids are still talking about it. The soldiers from Toy Story drive around in a jeep and play the drums and sing. Ashtyn was disappointed that they were life size and she said "Those are just men in green suits with their faces painted greeen! Ha, Ha, nothing gets by that girl. By about 1:00 p.m. I was so sick, and weak that I took Collin back to our hotel for a nap. Chris kept the two other kids and rode the rides. Thanks to the Schmutz' for helping him! I thought I was going to die by the time I got back, but I made it and got a really good nap. I woke up about 3:30 p.m. and I am pretty sure my temperature was about 103. My skin was BURNING!!! I was so sad thinking that my whole trip was gonna be ruined. Not to mention, it wasn't nearly as fun for Chris and the kids. Chris and the kids came back to the hotel for a little rest and to check on me. By about 6:00 p.m. I thought I was feeling a lot better. We had some Pizza for dinner and I was feeling even better. After dinner we walked back over to California Adventure and rode California Soarin' a couple times (this is one of Ashtyn's fave's) Then we went to the World of Color water show. AMAZING!!! It just blew my mind!

*Tuesday morning I was feeling as if I had never even been sick. Thank Heavens for medicine.
We got to DisneyLand early and went to Fantasy Land and rode the Peter Pan, Snow White, etc. first. Our kids HATED these rides. Any ride that went inside and was dark, they SCREAMED!! I guess I shouldn't have made them go, but I thought they would like them once they were on. Needless to say, we only went on those rides one time. (Which doesn't hurt my feelings, cause once is good enough for me!) We stayed in DisneyLand all day and did most of the rides except for Mickey's Toon Town. Later that night we went to the DisneyLand Parade. It was a really fun parade. They really involve the audience and it make it extra fun. Camden was REALLY difficult this day (and a little on Monday) so by the end of the day it felt like he had cried the WHOLE day! I was so done by that night.
*Wednesday was probably the best day if you ask me. We started out in Mickey's Toon Town and saw all the "Mickey" characters. Ashtyn was so looking forward to getting all the autographs. Both Ashtyn and Camden loved the roller coaster there and I think we rode it about 10 times. Next we headed over to the Princess Fantasy Fair where they have 3 princesses that you can get your picture and autographs. Ashtyn thought it was just GREAT! Then we headed back over to California Adv. for our character lunch. We had ours at Ariel's Grotto. It was so much fun! It is set to look over Paradise Pier and is decorated like it is in Ariel's house under the sea. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS!! First they bring out an appetzier platter with a bunch of things, plus some yummy bread and dips. Then Chris and I had tri-tip steak and garlic mashed potatoes, YUMMY!! Then for dessert they bring out a huge plate filled with about 8 mini desserts. There was this seashell made out of white chocolate. Ashtyn held it up to her ear and said "You really can hear the ocean!" Funny! There were cheesecake tarts, chocolate cakes, and a couple more. Plus, a bunch of the princesses come around to each table and talk with the kids and take pictures and autographs. The whole rest of the day we spent at Cal. Adv. The kids really liked the carousel, bugs land, swings, farris wheel, MullHolland madness, jelly fish, rockets, and Soarin. We also saw the Pixar Parade, too. It is such a cute parade also!
Both kids loved their autograph books I made them! They turned out so cute and were practically FREE!
*Friday we went to Space Mountain first, since it wasn't open all week. There was a 65 min. wait, but not for us, we had a handi pass again and got right on! We then went to see tinkerbell and then over to Calif. Adventure to ride everything one last time. Then we left to go home! We were so sad to leave. We had such a good time even though we had some bumps along the way!!! It was just fun to go as a family and not have to worry about work, cooking, cleaning, or any responsibilities.
