It was my turn for playdate today. Since the Olympics are starting in 3 days, I thought it would be fun for the kids to have our own Olympic Games. We started by making an Olympic flag. Then we went outside for the games. First, though, we had to take the athletes oath! (Basically saying that they would be fair, good sports, and have FUN!) We did the shot put, javlin, long jump, and hammer throw. I think the kids really liked it. We came in for lunch and then watched a few quick clips on YouTube of actual Olympians doing the events we did. After that we made some medals.

The Shotput. I laugh at this picture SO hard! I explained to them to put the "shotput" right next to their ear and then push the ball as far as they could. Collin really tried hard as you can see!

These are the best pictures I've seen. My favorite is them taking the oath and Collin's shotput picture. Such a cute idea. Love it!!
I loved this play date too! My kids had so much fun and I didn't have to think of Olympic crafts for them to do. Good job! :)
