Fall Break

The kids and I went up to Salt Lake for Fall Break this past weekend. We did a lot of really fun things and had a great time seeing family. I took Ashtyn out of school early and we arrived at about 6:30 on Wednesday night. Thursday morning was Camden's actual birthday so we wanted to do something fun. The zoo was it!

Grandpa was nice enough to carry Collin a lot of the day on his shoulders:

My cute (and skinny might I add) parents and my kids. My kids are so cooperative for pictures, can't ya tell?

Collin had a few melt downs, but for the most part all the kids were super happy. The weather couldn't have been more perfect for a day at the zoo. Not too hot, not too cold!

Amanda is in Nail School so she did Ashtyn's finger nails for her. She was in heaven!

Camden even got money from Shelli and a neighbor lady for his birthday. Lucky boy!

The next day we went to Gardner Village and then to Wheeler Farm. They had a lot of fun farm animals to pet and look at.

Saturday we hiked Ensign peak. The story is that Brigham Young, Wilford Woodruff, and others hiked to this peak and laid out Salt Lake city,(or something like that?) It is a short, but steep hike. The day was beautiful, we were dressed a little too warm even.
Beau carried Adisyn like this the whole hike. She didn't exactly love it, but she dealt with it ok!
Grandpa also carried Collin on his shoulders the whole way!

Ashtyn isn't exactly a hiker, and whined a bit. We passed this 84 year old man that hiked all the way to the top! It must have taken him 2 hours to do a 20 min. hike!

After the hike, there was a cute park nearby that I wanted to try to take the kids' "school" pictures. I hate to pay for school pictures when I can take just as good of a picture. (well, sorta!)I think I might retake Ashtyn and Camden's, but we'll see!

That night my mom and I took Ashtyn and Camden to a "kid haunted house." It was really a fun halloweeny thing to do! Ashtyn didn't like it much, but the rest of us had fun.

We had so much fun! The only thing that could've made it better, would be that Chris came. Thanks again to Shelli's family and my family for putting up with us, feeding us, and showing us a great time!
